LikyaMT2 Wiki: A guide to the server's own features and comfort improvements

36 articles9 categories10 hotkeys

Foreword

This wiki is not a guide to playing Metin2; it covers what is different on LikyaMT2. Here you will find the server's own systems, changed rules and the comfort improvements that make the game easier.

Each section covers one topic: which key opens it, how to use it step by step and the limits you should know. New features from maintenance updates are added here; jump to any topic from the contents.

Latest maintenance: 23 October 2026. Read the patch notes

Offline Shop

Set up your shop in a village with a shop package and keep selling after you log out. If you already have an active shop, F6 opens its window directly.

HotkeyF6Right click

Shop setup window
Screenshot coming soon
A shop and its sign in a village

How to use it

  1. Go to a first or second village: Yongan, Joan, Pyungmoo or Jayang, Bokjung, Bakra.

  2. Right-click the shop package in your inventory. If the spot is not allowed, the panel stays closed and the reason appears in chat.

  3. Give your shop a name of up to 20 letters and place the items you want to sell.

  4. Open the shop. To add or take items, or to close the shop later, open your shop window with F6.

Good to know

  • Shops can only be set up in villages, and not too close to an NPC, a gate or another shop.
  • A shop has 40 slots (5×8).
  • Buyers can click and shop from up to 25 metres away; to add, take or close you must stand next to your shop (about 7 m).
  • You can walk through shops; a shop turns semi-transparent while you are inside it.

How to use it

  1. The 72-hour timer starts the moment you set up your shop.

  2. Follow the countdown in your shop window, which you open with F6.

  3. When the time is up the shop closes and your unsold items are returned to your Gift Box.

Good to know

  • Only the shop owner can see the countdown.
  • When you right-click an item to remove it from your shop you are asked to confirm: Yes returns it to your inventory, No keeps it in the shop.
  • You must stand next to your shop to remove items; from far away the item stays where it is.

Highlighted item in a shop window

How to use it

  1. Press F7 to open the Search Shops panel. The list only shows items that are on sale in shops right now.

  2. Start typing the item name; the list narrows as you type and every + level of the item is listed separately.

  3. Pick the item. If it is found, chat tells you how many shops have it and those shops are marked with arrows on the map.

  4. Open a marked shop: the slot of the item you searched for is highlighted with a softly pulsing green fill.

  5. Press Clear in the panel to end the search.

Good to know

  • While a search is active, shops without a match are hidden from your screen together with their sign, seller name and flag. They come back when the search ends.
  • Hiding only affects what you see; shop contents and buying are unchanged.
  • Closing the F7 panel does not end the search. It ends with Clear, a second middle click on the same item, or a map change.
  • If no shop has the item you get the message "No results found."

Ranking & Competition

The PvP score you earn from kills, seasons and the ranking lists.

1 article

PvP Rating

PvP Rating is a skill score calculated from player kills. It looks at results, not at your gear or build: whatever set you win with, the win is what counts.

Status:The system goes live with the server launch.

Screenshot coming soon
The PvP Rating list on the ranking page

How the score works

  1. Everyone starts at 1500.

  2. When you kill a player you gain points, and the player who dies loses points.

  3. What you gain depends on your opponent's score: beating a stronger player earns a lot, beating a weaker one earns a little. At 1500, beating a 1700 player gives you about +24 and beating a 1300 player about +8.

  4. During your first 20 matches your score moves fast (K=32), so you find your real place quickly. After that it changes at a steadier pace (K=16).

Good to know

  • Your score never drops below 100.
  • Your items show on your profile as a showcase but do not count towards your score. You can hide them on your profile if you like.

What a win is worth

At 1500, during your first 20 matches (K=32), a single win earns you:

  • Opponent score: 1300weaker+8 points
  • Opponent score: 1500equal+16 points
  • Opponent score: 1700stronger+24 points
  • Opponent score: 1900much stronger+29 points

A full bar is the most a single win can give: 32. After 20 matches (K=16) the same wins are worth about half as much.

Formula

For anyone curious about the maths:

E = 1 / (1 + 10(Opponent − You) / 400)

New = Old + K × (Result − E)

  • You and Opponent: both players' scores before the match.
  • E: your expected chance to win, a number between 0 and 1. Against an equal opponent it is 0.5.
  • Result: 1 if you win, 0 if you lose.
  • K: 32 for your first 20 matches, 16 after that.

Rules

SituationEffect on your score
Killing the same player more than once within 24 hoursUp to 3 kills earn points; the rest do not count.
Kills between characters on the same account or networkNo points. Your IP address is not stored for this check; only a one-way digest is compared.
Killing a player 10 or more levels below youNo points, and the player who dies loses none either.
Showing up on the ranking listYou need at least 20 rated matches: you place first, then you join the list.
Kills in the OX event area and the duel arenaNot counted.

Seasons

Each season lasts 2 months. When a new season starts everyone goes back to 1500, so everyone begins each season from the same line.

End-of-season rewards will be announced.

Other rankings

The level ranking and the guild ranking are still there alongside PvP Rating.

On the ranking page you can filter the list by class and build.

Open the PvP ranking

Common questions

Do I lose points when I die?

Yes. How much depends on your opponent: lose to someone stronger and you drop a little, lose to someone weaker and you drop more.

What if a friend and I keep killing each other?

Killing the same player earns points at most 3 times in 24 hours; after that it does not count. If you play from the same network, kills between you earn no points at all.

Why is my new character not on the list?

You need to place first: at least 20 rated matches. Your score moves fast during those matches, and you appear on the list once you finish the 20th.

My gear is good, so why is my score low?

The score comes from results, not gear. Your items show on your profile as a showcase but do not count; your wins and losses set your score.
